Jay Cleveland is the founder of Tennessee Peanut Company. What started as an idea between friends and family soon grew into a multi-market business that handles national shipping, wholesale fulfillment, product design, a love of community and eye for design. Tennessee Peanut Co. highlights the history of southern boiled peanuts with an artisan twist for the Nashville, Tennessee area. From the concept to execution, Tennessee Peanut Co. is a physical showcase of what’s possible with hard work and intentional design.

Many people are unaware that peanuts do not grow well in Tennessee. Hence, all of your favorite roadside stands are usually spotted on scenic highways throughout the Southeast, outfitted by older gentlemen in farmer hats, with soft smiles and stories to tell. Raised in Northern Alabama with plenty of memories of his Granddad’s beloved snack and wheel-jerking turns when a boiled peanut sign was spotted, Jay brought his family roots to Nashville and continues the tradition.
